What the tool is doing

Useful transformation, not a mystery preset.

Transform My Kick changes a named relationship inside the sound. Punch Restorer increases contrast around the arrival. Tail Tamer reshapes the decay. Boom Cleaner reduces excessive low-frequency contribution. Creative modes combine a small number of disclosed moves to produce one coherent direction.

The result is deliberately audible, but it is not called “better” automatically. A shorter kick can clear space or remove needed weight. A brighter kick can translate or become tiring. Judge the result while the full groove plays.

PunchAdd punch without adding levelUnderstand contrast before reaching for compression. LengthShorten a kick tail cleanlyChoose the correct part of the envelope to change. Low endFind the real cause of boomSeparate excess length, resonance and bass overlap. DesignBuild the sound from first principlesMove from a transformed sample to an intentional instrument.

Before you upload

Questions and boundaries.

Does Kickopedia upload or store my audio?

No. Decoding, transformation, preview and WAV export happen on your device. The file is not transmitted to Kickopedia.

Which audio formats can I use?

Modern browsers commonly decode WAV, AIFF, MP3 and FLAC. Browser support varies, so an uncompressed WAV is the most reliable choice. Files are limited to 30 MB and 12 seconds because the tool is designed for individual kick sounds.

Is the downloaded kick royalty free?

The transformation does not change the ownership or licence of the source sound. Use only audio you created or have permission to transform. The included demonstration kick uses original KX1000 source material.

Why are the comparisons loudness matched?

A louder sound is easily mistaken for a better sound. Matching the full-file RMS where peak safety allows makes changes in envelope, tone and texture easier to judge honestly.
