Kick Tuning and Pitch
Kick tuning is useful when it solves a real relationship problem. Electronic kicks often move through several pitches, so one analyser reading should not automatically be treated as the kick's single musical note.
Direct answer
First identify whether the kick has a stable low tail, a rapidly descending pitch envelope or mostly noise and transient energy. Tune the stable part when it creates unwanted beating or clashes with the bass. Do not force every short or noisy kick to a note when the musical benefit is unclear.

- Listen for beating and instability against sustained bass notes.
- Test tuning changes at matched level; pitch changes can alter perceived loudness.
- Prefer the version that works in the track, even when it does not match a theoretical root note.
